Subject: GREAT DOWNLOAD
The five stars are tri-facto in nature. One, for the movie, two for the quality of the download, and three for providing alternative downloads for people. I love these high GB downloads because I know I’m getting the best possible quality from the source. With Free Download Manager, they are a snap to download, and compression technology programs like Windows DVD maker also love them because they operate on total minutes, not total GB, so a person can make a 5 GB, 90 minute movie, and have it look exactly like the original download using around 2 GB total disc space on a DVD. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, and low megabyte downloads with other movies are sow’s ears. This is a silk purse download. People who complain about these high megabyte downloads just DON’T GET IT. This is the first review I’ve written, I am so impressed with your download. So a big THANK YOU for making this great movie available!

I was expecting this one to be ultra-low-budget, so-bad-it's-good schlock. So it was a surprise to find it's a real movie with a fairly large cast and at least a hundred extras. The canoe rentals alone must have cost a fortune. Does this mean it's good? Well, no. It's a none-too-exciting jungle yarn with Nazi agents tossed into the tepid mix, not to mention it's based in a complete misunderstanding of Charles Darwin's work. But worst of all, the poor guy in the white gorilla suit doesn't even get to pound his chest in earnest until the last five minutes. And I had such low hopes. (sigh)

Subject: Bad Even by Standards of Bad
I apologize to any film I may have previously slandered with the claim "nothing happened." This movie is supposedly about a monstrous monkey but is more concerned with the one woman on the expedition trying to seduce her guard. Then, fifty minutes into the movie, the plot shifts and becomes about a mutiny, a lost field of gold and a secret agent--and it's still boring!

SPOILER AHEAD THOUGH THE ENDING IS OBVIOUS

The gorilla is, of course, in love with the woman, saves her, thwarts the evil plan and then gets captured and sent back to the states for study.
Lesson learned: Always punch your weight.
